The Association L’Arbre des Connaissances was founded by researchers at the University Institute of Hematology to promote dialogue between producers of science and society.

The Apprentis Chercheurs allows reception in research laboratories throughout the school year for high school students, in pairs framed by actors (researchers, PhD students, post-docs, engineers). Wednesday afternoon a month, the students do a science project on a topic of research in the laboratory. At the end of the school year, the Association L’Arbre des Connaissances organizes a congress Apprentis Chercheurs within each research center. Adolescents present their work in public and receive a certificate of introduction to research. Thanks to the teachers, the “Apprentis Chercheurs” discuss their research in class, make connections with the class programm and become true ambassadors of research within their institution.
